Simon Cowell, 53, is said to have fathered a child with New York-based socialite Lauren Silverman, 36, who is reportedly 10 weeks along in her pregnancy. In January 2012, the pair were pictured (above) looking particularly close as they enjoyed a holiday to St Barths alongside Lauren's husband, real estate magnate Andrew Silverman. Sources have now confirmed to MailOnline that Mr Silverman filed for divorce from his wife earlier this month, although is not known whether he filed the legal papers after learning of his wife's pregnancy. Sources close to Cowell, who has previously said he would never want children, claim the pregnancy was not planned and that the music mogul was 'freaked out'. But it is understood that Cowell accepts the baby is his. Millionaire casino owner Mr Silverman filed for divorce from his wife earlier this month, but it is not known whether he did so after learning she was expecting Cowell's baby. The couple have a seven-year-old son, Adam.

But Simon Cowell took time away from his TV duties on Tuesday as he hit the beach in Malibu with his mini-me son Eric, four, and girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 41.
The X Factor mogul, 58, looked every inch the doting dad, coaching Eric how to surf as the tot took to the waters, while Lauren watched on in awe.

Simon veered away from his signature high-waisted jeans, donning a pair of summery lime green shorts, which he paired with a soft grey plimsolls.
