AN MP's wife is caught on CCTV pinching a kitten from her husband's mistress.
And yesterday Christine Hemming — wife of Lib Dem John — was found guilty of burglary after a jury watched the comical catnapping footage.
Hemming, 53, is seen skulking through the shadows towards her love rival's house in Moseley, Birmingham, and crawling on her hands and knees before entering via a back door.
Seconds later she reappears with the pet under her left arm. Its eyes glisten in the dark as she legs it.
Town planner Hemming had denied burglary, saying she "did not recall" taking the kitten from the home of Emily Cox — her husband's lover of 13 years.
Mr Hemming — MP for Yardley, Birmingham — divided his time between the women, who lived half a mile apart.
But the city's crown court heard Mrs Hemming felt "replaced" and kicked him out three days before stealing the cat, called Beauty, in September last year. Sentencing was adjourned.

Prosecutor Jason Pegg said outside court: "We're still unsure what the motive for the burglary was."
Last night Miss Cox said she was still looking for Beauty, who belongs to the daughter she had with Mr Hemming. She said: "We'd like to know she is alive."
