This year’s I’m A Celebrity line up has been announced. And at first glance, it may be a case of I’m A.....who now?
The hit ITV show, which pulls in the viewers, looks like it might just be struggling to get the big stars to sign up.
There is the odd household name thrown into the mix but many will leave viewers scratching their heads.
Olympic champion Rebecca Adlington, the golden girl of British swimming, is among those to sign up to head Down Under for this year’s show.
She’ll be joined by snooker player Steve Davis, one of the best known names from the sport. But after that, we’re struggling. Amy Willerton anyone? Kian Egan? Vincent Simone is one of those stars people may not recognise until they see him. The 34-year-old Italian has been a fixture on Strictly Come Dancing for a few years.
Model, presenter and novellist Annabel Giles, aged 54, is also packing her backs to head to Oz. Viewers of a certain age may well recognise her.
Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter, who played Chastity Dingle, will be well known among fans of the ITV soap and could do well, while Alfonso Ribeiro, 42, will be considered something of a icon among viewers who grew up in the 1990s. He played Carlton Banks in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
EastEnders actress Laila Morse, who plays Big Mo, is taking part, while Miss GB Amy Willerton is this year’s pin up girl.
Chat show host Matthew Wright, aged 48, could rub a few people up the wrong way, while former Westlife star Kian Egan could well be this year’s Mr Nice Guy.
Welsh dress maker David Emanuel is also expected to be one to look out for.
And this year’s favourite? Joey Essex, of The Only Way is Essex. He’s sure to be TV gold if he finds himself gobbling witchetty grubs. Reem.
