JAIPUR - An Indian father has beheaded his daughter and marched around the village with his head in his hands because he disagreed with its sentimental choices.
Oghad Singh, a miner of marble, he used a sword to kill Manju, 20 year old daughter who had married two years ago with an arranged marriage but was currently separated. And for those that his father had "extramarital affairs" that brought him to the extreme action, as confirmed by Rahul Katkey, Superintendent of Police of Rajsamand district, 330 km from Jaipur.
The man, as reported by the authorities, left the house Sunday night brandishing a sword in one hand bloody, severed head in the other the daughter. It was then the intervention of a neighbor persuaded Singh to surrender to authorities.
The police picked up his statement, which showed no remorse for the murder of her daughter, because they already had complained repeatedly to his attitudes that were a "public insult to his person" and forbade the family to find a husband for the younger sisters.
