A trip down memory lane: Schoolboy pictures of One Direction leave the lads feeling embarrassed

Many years before they had their celebrity stylists and a hair and make-up team to work on them round the clock, One Direction were just like everyone else.
The teenage heartthrobs may be international studs now, but some of them were in need of a lot of work, as these pictures show.
The revealing photographs show a very different side to the What Makes You Beautiful singers, especially three boys of the band.

Louis Tomlinson looks a million miles away from the chisel jawed pop star we know today, and he sported a very different hairstyle.
The young star can be seen with a much shorter cut that has been heavily covered in hair gel. Louis looks like quite the Jack the lad as he is pictured with his tongue sticking out towards a girl, while in another photograph he is standing cockily with a microphone.
In a rather scary snap, Louis is seen standing aggressively with a baby doll in one hand while making a fist with his other hand, ready to strike to the toy.

However, he also shows his vain side when he takes his own picture in the mirror and pulls a classic cringe pose.
Harry Styles won't be as embarrassed by his picture which shows him looking as cute as he always does but, without his now famous curly locks.
The ex boyfriend of Caroline Flack was pictured looking years younger on holiday with his sister, while sitting at a dinner table.

Niall Horan is also part of the embarrassing trip down memory lane and he is seen with a baseball cap on posing like a wannabe rapper.
The pictures surfaced after the boys left the old snaps on their Bebo pages.
Niall poked fun at himself and tweeted: 'Hahaha my old bebo page, dont even know the password for that anymore! My cousin claire came up with the stupid name #embarassin'.
He added: 'that bebo page is hilarious! some great memories in the pictures though ey?'
Harry couldn't resist the opportunity to make jokes about the funny shots and said: '@NiallOfficial is your email still [email protected]?'
