A babysitter in the U.S =. has been sentenced to five years probation after an infant in her care suffocated to death after being left in a queen size bed.
Cherie Kohenskey, 39, wept as she admitted that her negligence contributed to the death of 2-month-old Levi Haggard.
Kohenskey allowed little Levo to take a nap in the bed, on his stomach, surrounded by pillows last July. An autopsy report showed he died of suffocation.

Kohenskey ran an unlicensed daycare center out of her home in Troy, Missouri.
State law says unlicensed daycare providers can only take care of up to four unrelated children at any one time.
But Kohenskey was caring for 10 children at her home on the day Levi died. Two of the children belonged to her.
She pleaded guilty to first-degree child endangerment. As part of the plea agreement, she was given a suspended four-year prison sentence and five years of probation.
Levi's mother, Jody Haggard, said she had told Kohenskey never to place Levi in a bed after she had done it previously.

'It's a little bit of justice,' Haggard said after the hearing.
'What's a mother going to say? Nothing's ever going to be good enough because he's never coming back.'
Kohenskey declined to comment after the hearing. Her attorney, Jonathan Fuchs, said her client truly enjoyed taking care of children.
'There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't relive what happened,' he said.
Kohenskey must also do 100 hours of community service involving youths, can't be around children under three without being supervised, and must not baby-sit.
