LONDRA - La regalità sembra appartenere a Kate Middleton da sempre. La 29enne Duchessa di Cambridge aveva appena 10 anni quando nel 1992, in una recita scolastica, ha interpretato Cenerentola mostrando il mal d’amore provocato dal principe azzurro. Il Sun ha trovato e mostrato un filmato proprio della recita in questione. "Oh, guai, guai, guai, mi sono innamorata. Non posso mangiare, non riesco a dormire, non posso concentrarmi su niente. La mia memoria mi ha abbandonato”, dice nella performance. Proprio come nel matrimonio reale del mese scorso, Kate è stata ‘supportata’ dalla sorella Pippa, che indossava una camicia verde con un colletto gigante e un gilet nero. LA BAMBOLA DI KATE MIDDLETON Intanto, dopo le nozze del secolo, e dopo che Kate ha impersonato il sogno di tantissime ragazze che vorrebbero trovare e sposare un principe, per la Middleton è arrivata la sua copia giocattolo: poco prima delle nozze nei negozi di giocattoli è arrivata la “Princess Catherine doll” una bambola che riproduce fedelmente Kate Middleton per celebrare il “Royal Wedding”. La bambola riproduce fedelmente le fattezze e i lineamenti della principessa d'Inghilterra e particolare attenzione è stata prestata anche ai dettagli: la bambola regale indossa infatti una riproduzione dell'abito blu indossato da Kate in occasione del suo fidanzamento con il principe William e una serie di accessori preziosi come l'anello di fidanzamento con zaffiro appartenuto a Lady D e un paio di decolleté dorate abbinate ad una pochette dello stesso colore. Immancabile poi un cappellino rosa shocking in perfetto stile inglese. Come per ogni bambola famosa, anche per Catherine ci saranno altre versioni: immancabile la riproduzione in abito da sposa con corona e gioielli, ad un costo che supererà le 100 sterline. La bambola è stata prodotta in edizione limitata, ne sono stati fabbricati solo 10.000 esemplari, ed ha un prezzo da collezione: costa 35 sterline (circa 40 euro). L’operazione commerciale ha un risvolto benefico: il 7% del ricavato della vendita delle "Princess Catherine Doll" sarà devoluto in beneficenza al fondo “Help for Heroes”,un'organizzazione per sostenere i militari britannici feriti in guerra.

No comment del Palazzo reale alle voci, per la verità sempre più insistenti, di una presunta gravidanza di Kate Middleton, la moglie del principe William d'Inghilterra. Secondo In Touch, una «fonte reale» avrebbe confidato che Kate è «incinta di circa sei settimane». Il magazine statunitense ha abbellito la storia con i possibili nomi di un erede: Edward, Philip e Michael se maschio, Alice o Rose se una femminuccia. Sempre secondo In Touch, Kate e William avrebbero dato la loro benedizione alla costruzione di tre nursery nella loro nuova casa a Kensington Palace. William e Kate vorrebbero avere una bambina, aggiunge il giornale americano.
KATE E IL DOLCETTO DI ARACHIDI - «Non confermiamo né smentiamo mai queste voci. È il milionesimo rumor di una gravidanza che sentiamo. Se fosse vero, lo leggereste in un nostro comunicato, non su un tabloid di oltre-atlantico», ha detto il portavoce della Duchessa di Cambridge. In Touch però insiste e scrive addirittura che William e Kate sarebbero al settimo cielo. «Ancor prima di sposarsi era chiaro a entrambi che avere un figlio era la loro priorità numero uno», specifica il magazine. Le voci su una presunta gravidanza di Kate si susseguono ormai da settimane in Gran Bretagna: le ultime coincidono con il primo anniversario di fidanzamento della coppia. La stessa Kate le ha alimentate qualche giorno fa rifiutando, pur non essendo allergica, un dolcetto agli arachidi ad un evento di beneficenza dell'Unicef a Copenhagen, cui aveva partecipato con il marito. Il burro di arachidi è sconsigliato alle donne in dolce attesa. I sudditi di Sua Maestà Elisabetta II possono continuare a sognare la cicogna.

Reali, si potrebbe dire senza esagerare. Si tratta di William, Kate e Harry, duchi di Cambrige, che alle delle Olimpiadi di Londra 2012 saranno ambasciatori per la squadra britannica. Lo ha annunciato St. James Palace. Duke and Duchess welcome new arrival: Kate and Wills adopt pet cocker spaniel but the name remains a mystery

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have welcomed a new addition to their family - an adorable three-month old puppy.
The couple acquired the male cocker spaniel in early December and have been happily settling him in at their rented farmhouse in North Wales.
Remarkably, however, William and Kate have given palace aides strict instructions not to publicly reveal the name of their pet, arguing that it is a ‘private’ matter.
‘He is a private pet and they do not want his name to be made public although the couple are happy to confirm that they do, indeed, have a new dog,’ a spokesman at St James’s Palace, the couple’s London headquarters, intoned.
Royal sources say the black pup is ‘a few months old’ and comes from a litter bred by Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, who adores the breed.
‘I don’t know whether the Middleton family dog is a boy or a girl, but the Duke and Duchess’s puppy is the result of the family dog breeding with one belonging to another breeder,’ said an aide.
The new dog is the couple’s first together and replaces Prince William’s black labrador, Widgeon, who died about two years ago.
Over the years, the Royal Family have embraced dogs as their favoured pets.
Formal portraits from the 17th century onwards show kings, queens and their children happily posing with their beloved animals, from pugs to greyhounds, King Charles spaniels to corgis.
Some pets have even merited their own portraits, and, as in many households, were considered very much members of the family.

When Queen Victoria’s beloved collie, Noble, died at Balmoral in 1887, he was buried in the grounds of the castle and given his own gravestone, which read:
'Noble by name by nature noble too
Faithful companion sympathetic true
His remains are interred here'
A terrier named Caesar belonging to King Edward VII was given even greater status when, having outlived the king, he walked behind His Majesty’s coffin in the funeral procession.
The current Queen is, of course, associated with the corgi.
The breed was introduced to the Royal Family by her father, King George VI, in 1933 when he bought a corgi called Dookie from a local kennels.
For her eighteenth birthday, The Queen was given a corgi named Susan from whom numerous successive dogs were bred.
Some corgis were mated with dachshunds (most notably Pipkin, who belonged to Princess Margaret) to create ‘dorgis’.
At present, The Queen owns three corgis, Monty, Willow and Holly and three dorgis, Cider, Candy and Vulcan, who travel with her everywhere, with Her Majesty looking after them herself as much as possible.

Other members of the Royal Family own dogs of various breeds. The Duchess of Cornwall owns two Jack Russell terriers, Tosca and Rosie, and recently acquired a rescue pup called Beth from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
Spaniels are one of the oldest known breeds of dogs and are believed to have to come to the UK during Caesar’s invasion in 55 and 54 BC.
It is assumed they originated from Spain as the word spaniel is believed to have been derived from Hispania or possibly from the French phrase chiens de l’Espagnol (dog of Spain).
Spaniels were initially bred to flush game out of dense brush but by the late 1600’s had become specialized into water and land breeds.
The difference between cocker and springer spaniels is that the former are smaller, more compact, dogs and can have marginally more placid temperaments.
As a breed cocker spaniels have friendly, affectionate, happy natures and considered to be wonderful family pets.
The arrival of the couple’s anonymous new pooch is particularly timely as he will help keep Kate, 30, company while her husband is posted to the Falkland Islands for six weeks.
Search and Rescue pilot William, 29, will fly out tonight with his Sea King crew on a routine deployment to the region, leaving his wife on her own.
She is expected to spend more time in London while he is away and will largely live with her pup at Kensington Palace, the couple’s London base.
Last night betting firm Ladbrokes were offering odds of 10/1 on the dog being called Charlie, 33/1 on Bouncer and 66/1 on Fenton, after the now world-famous hound seen chasing deer in Richmond Park, which became a YouTube sensation.
The pup has not been formally revealed in public yet but has been seen being walked by the couple on beaches near their Anglesey home.
The Middleton family already have a young female cocker spaniel, Ella, whom they acquired from a friend at just eight weeks old. It is not known whether Ella is the mother of Kate and William’s new pup, however.

Cashing in on the Kate clones: Rebecca Taylor reissues old-season blue suit after Duchess sparks surge in sales

The suit that sold out minutes after it was worn by the Duchess of Cambridge in London last Thursday, has been re-released by New York-based designer Rebecca Taylor.
The tweed jacket and skirt from the resort 2011/12 collection had been on sale at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, but promptly sold out in just half an hour.
But this morning, the garments were available to buy again on the Rebecca Taylor website - albeit at the original full price.

Kate looked demure in her trademark nude heels today at the wedding of Princess Diana's niece.
The Duke of Cambridge kept a protective hand on the back of the Duchess, who wore a pale grey floral dress with her favourite LK Bennett shoes to the Lincolnshire nuptials.
She completed the muted look with an elegant Whiteley beige hat and embellished coat, with her hair half up in a plait around the crown of her head.
